The History & Development of the Japanese Garden by Patsy Rayner

Patsy is a retired English teacher living in Nottinghamshire with a love of literature and also a love of gardening and travel. She has visited Japan with her husband twice a year for the past 18 years where her son has a Japanese wife and 3 lovely children.

It is through Patsy’s frequent trios to Japan, her extensive travels within Japan as well as socialising with her daughter-in-law’s family that Patsy has become aware of what a fascinating and beautiful country Japan is. It is also a country of contrasts; one steeped in tradition and yet embracing the modern world.

This talk is accompanied by beautiful [photographs of gardens and plants.
